• This November, the Girard Free Library is holding our annual Food for Fines; the Library will offer up to $25 in fine forgiveness to anyone who donates at least two non-perishable food items to the Emmanuel Center. The last day to donate is Tuesday, November 26. 
  • This Wednesday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. learn to paint in Adobe Fresco with this easy Bob Ross-inspired follow-along. All you need is an iPad, a stylus, a little instruction, and a vision of a winter cabin in the woods. The Library will provide the first three.
  • Bring the family on Saturday, November 23 at 11 am for a free movie--Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Internet Use Policy

Consideration for others must govern your selection of Internet sites. The library is a public place with people of all ages free to use any part of the facility. Remember that your viewing of Internet sites is taking place in this public setting and may be monitored by library staff.

Library staff is available, as time permits, to provide basic assistance to help patrons access the Internet and begin a basic search. Training sessions will be provided periodically for interested patrons.

The cost to send a fax from the library is $1.00 per page (single-sided).  The library can provide a free cover sheet, and a member of the reference staff will send it for you.

Patrons may receive faxes for free.

Community Room

Community organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable activities may be permitted to use the library's meeting room by approval of the Director and/or Board of Trustees. 

As of May 1, 2009, all other organizations/businesses will be charged a fee of $25.00 for four hours or less and $50.00 for five or more hours. 

If possible, a reservation must be made thirty days prior to the use of the room. The room will be assigned in the order in which requests are received.
