• On Saturday, December 7 at 1:00 p.m. teens can leave their caves to watch Jim Carrey's How the Grinch Stole Christmas and then grow their hearts three sizes by making a holiday stocking stuffer.
  • On Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00 pm, Doug Fowler--former Youngstown State University adjunct instructor in the Departments of Geology and Physics and Astronomy--will retrace the voyage of Apollo 8, Earthrise on Christmas Eve.

Chair Yoga

During Chair Yoga, Tom Muir from A Moment for Me Yoga & Wellness Center will lead participants through gentle stretches. New sessions begin on Tuesday, September 17 at 11 AM. Registration is required.

Cozy Crafters

If you knit, crochet, or embroider, grab your current project and join a lively group of needle-wielders on Monday, October 21 at 6 PM. The Cozy Crafters will socialize and share tips while working on their current projects.

New Online Catalog

On Monday, October 28, CLEVNET will launch a new and improved library catalog experience to make finding library materials, resources, and events easier. We are changing because Aspen Discovery offers a more user-friendly, modern browsing experience, making finding the materials you want even more accessible. If you have a list in our online catalog, you can still access it in Aspen Discovery by logging into your account and clicking the Your Lists link. We will copy these lists on October 13. Please do not add additional titles to lists following this date, as changes made after October 13 will not be copied to the new catalog.

Digital Drawing

On Wednesday, October 30 at 6 PM, learn to draw using digital software. This will go through the essential know-how of drawing on a digital canvas, including layers, masks, brushes, and other useful settings.

Food for Fines

This November, the Girard Free Library is holding our annual Food for Fines; the Library will offer up to $25 in fine forgiveness to anyone who donates at least two non-perishable food items to the Emmanuel Center. The last day to donate is Tuesday, November 26.
