Seeking Children’s Librarian (Full-Time)
The Girard Free Library is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Children’s Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in children’s literature, a commitment to fostering a welcoming library environment, and the ability to engage young readers and their families through dynamic programming and outreach.
Teen Dungeons and Dragons
Teens- join us on an adventure Monday, August 3rd at 5:30 p.m.! Become your own character and battle your way through mythical quests. No experience- no worries, beginners are welcome. All materials are provided.
Unearth Your Digital Footprint
How much of yourself is out there online and accessible for others to find? Dig into your online presence Tuesday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. and get resources on how to manage your digital footprint in this hour long session.

Meeting Room

Community organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable activities may be permitted to use the library's meeting room by approval of the Director and/or Board of Trustees.

Technology Help

Byte-sized Basics sessions will cover a wide range of topics--using the Microsoft suite and Google Docs, accessing Library resources, installing and using apps, and troubleshooting internet and email issues.

Creative Writing Group

We are all storytellers. Do you want to learn how to tell your stories through creative writing? Join the Creative Writing Group to analyze writing and passages while workshopping our own writing. In our bi-weekly meetings you will not only learn and grow as a writer, you will find a community of storytellers, too!
