The Girard Free Library is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Children’s Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in children’s literature, a commitment to fostering a welcoming library environment, and the ability to engage young readers and their families through dynamic programming and outreach.

Wednesday, August 12th at 6:00 p.m., write a favorite poem, affirmation, quote, or scripture and put it in bottle buried in a bath bomb to discover during a relaxing self-care session at home.
Beginner Weaving - Cardboard Looms
Have you wanted to learn to weave but don't want to spend a lot of time or money deciding if its right for you? The library invites patrons to try cardboard looms, small simple frame-style looms, to make their own unique coaster.

Meeting Room

Community organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable activities may be permitted to use the library's meeting room by approval of the Director and/or Board of Trustees.

Technology Help

Byte-sized Basics sessions will cover a wide range of topics--using the Microsoft suite and Google Docs, accessing Library resources, installing and using apps, and troubleshooting internet and email issues.

Creative Writing Group

We are all storytellers. Do you want to learn how to tell your stories through creative writing? Join the Creative Writing Group to analyze writing and passages while workshopping our own writing. In our bi-weekly meetings you will not only learn and grow as a writer, you will find a community of storytellers, too!
