River otters are semi-aquatic mammals that were historically distributed throughout much of North America but were extirpated in Ohio by the early 1900s.  In 1986, the Ohio Division of Wildlife instituted a seven-year project to reintroduce the species to the state.  Join Amy Reeher, Trumbull SWCD, to learn more about the history of the river otter in Ohio including its recovery.  Fun facts and photos will be shared along with free educational handouts.
