On Saturday, September 14 at 2 PM, teens will put their thinking cats on and claw their way to the top for our Exploding Kittens Tournament.
Many people assume that they need to head to the woods or a park to see wildlife. To see foxes, they may only have to look in their own backyard. On Monday, September 16 at 6 PM, learn more about these adaptable and intelligent canids.
On Tuesday, September 17 at 6 PM, learn what all the beekeeping buzz is about with John Moss, owner of Wicked Sweet Honey Bees and Vice President of the Trumbull County Beekeepers Association.

The Friends of the Girard Free Library Annual Book Sale begins Friday, September 13 with a pre-sale from 5-6 PM; there is a $2.00 admission fee for first opportunity to shop this year's offerings of books and audiovisuals. The sale continues Saturday, September 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Monday, September 16, Tuesday, September 17, and Wednesday, September 18 are our $2 per bag days when you can fill up a box or bag with as much as possible for just two bucks.

This is our biggest book sale of the year, and all proceeds benefit the Friends of the Girard Free Library.  The Friends sponsor the summer reading program, fund special events and speakers, and purchase equipment and furnishings.
