• This November, the Girard Free Library is holding our annual Food for Fines; the Library will offer up to $25 in fine forgiveness to anyone who donates at least two non-perishable food items to the Emmanuel Center. The last day to donate is Tuesday, November 26. 
  • Bring the family on Saturday, November 23 at 11 am for a free movie--Harold and the Purple Crayon.
  • Join us at 6:00 p.m. on December 3rd, for the Culture Book Group and discuss A Holly Jolly Diwali by Sonya Lalli, or December 4th for the Popular Literature Book Group and bring your favorite book and introduce it to others.

The book group discusses Celeste Ng's bestseller Little Fires EverywhereLittle Fires is the story of how a peripatetic artist and her daughter upend the seemingly orderly life of a Shaker Heights family. Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon are co-producing and co-starring in a Hulu mini-series based upon the book; the author also grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio.  Refreshments are served.  Call Mrs. Keller at ext. 111 for more information.
