• This November, the Girard Free Library is holding our annual Food for Fines; the Library will offer up to $25 in fine forgiveness to anyone who donates at least two non-perishable food items to the Emmanuel Center. The last day to donate is Tuesday, November 26. 
  • Bring the family on Saturday, November 23 at 11 am for a free movie--Harold and the Purple Crayon.
  • Join us at 6:00 p.m. on December 3rd, for the Culture Book Group and discuss A Holly Jolly Diwali by Sonya Lalli, or December 4th for the Popular Literature Book Group and bring your favorite book and introduce it to others.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale returns in 2021.  From Friday, September 17 through Wednesday, September 22 (excluding Sunday), shop a huge selection of children's, teen, and adult paperbacks, hardbacks, and audiovisuals.  Do some serious bargain hunting Monday through Wednesday when you can fill an entire box or bag for only $2.00.

Also, check out the surplus sale in the library garage for used bookshelves, filing cabinets, desks and tables. Find a deal on storage items for your home office, garage, basement, or playroom.
