J. Robert Oppenheimer played an integral part in the development of the first atomic bomb, but he struggled with his role in the creation of something that caused so much destruction.  Directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer traces the theoretical physicist's life from his studies at Cambridge to his eventual fall from grace orchestrated by the Atomic Energy Committee's Lewis Strauss.  The film is widely considered one of the best of 2023 and stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Florence Pugh.
