If you enjoy learning about different cultures and discussing fiction, join us for a new group that explores books with characters from diverse backgrounds.  Get into the holiday spirit with this month's title--The Matzah Ball by Jean Meltzer.

The group's purpose is to support and assist the library.  The Friends sponsor the summer reading program, purchase equipment and furnishing, and fund special events and speakers.  This is their biggest book sale of the year.

The Popular Literature Book Group will discuss Dances with Wolves by Michael Blake. In 1863, Lt. John Dunbar is posted to an abandoned fort on the western frontier. Alone there, he will develop close relationships with nearby Comanche. However, harmony is disrupted when a new regiment of Union soldiers arrives. The novel was adapted into an Oscar-winning movie starring Kevin Costner in 1990.

Slime Family Funtime on Monday, September 11 at 6 PM will ooze fun. Come to a concoction of science and some silliness and make slime and homemade bouncy balls. Registration is required.
